4 Easy Ways to Speed up Your Computer

Everyone wants to have a computer which runs at optimum speed. This can be achieved by replacing your computer every six months with the latest one that you can get, which would also require a great deal of money. However,

Speeding Up Your Computer doesn’t always involve replacing it with a new one. There are ways in which you can optimize the performance of the one that you have now..

1. Clean your hard drive by removing unnecessary files - There are a lot files which can pile up in your hard drive like photos, audio, movies, documents, games, programs, etc. They take up space in your hard disk, and the more it gets filled up, the slower your computer’s performance is going to be. Taking some time to delete unused files and programs would free a significant amount of space in your hard drives, which can help boost the speed of your computer.

2. Clean your Computer Registry – the computer registry can be filled up with junk files from Adware,Spyware and even remnants of programs that you have uninstalled. Since the registry is where configuration, settings and keys for system programs and other software are located, filling it up or any damage can adversely affect your computer’s overall performance.
Several system registry cleaning software are available for download and purchase online. These programs can help clean your registry and remove unnecessary files to make space. Also, it can help repair or update damaged parts of your system registry ensuring optimum computer speed and performance. Scan your Registry for free, visit RegCare.

3. Defrag your hard drives regularly – files in your Computers  are normally saved in pieces which are placed in different locations in your hard drive. This can affect how fast your computer can access a file, as it needs to locate the different parts. The more fragmented files stored in your hard disk, the slower your computer will be able to process the needed files. This will affect the overall performance of your computer.
There is a system tool in your computer which will defragment files stored in your hard drive. It will organize these files, storing them in contiguous areas for easier and faster access when needed. Defragmenting your hard drives often can help optimize your computer’s speed.

4. Install adware and spyware scanners – although the internet can allow you access to different information, it also allows some websites to drop adware and spyware on your computer as you surf through their site. These programs can affect your computer by eating up space in your computer’s memory and affecting the system registry. Also, it can hog up your internet connection by sending information about things that you do back to their main site, compromising the security of personal information and other stuffs. Adware and spyware scanners can help detect and remove these programs from your computer system. There are a lot of different software that are available for download. It would be wise to invest in one to keep your computer and personal information protected from malicious software. 9. Wow. This is a great blog about maintaining and optimizing your computer's performance. It was very informative and covers the many ways one can maintain their computer. I definetly agree cleaning out the hard drive is key because you are emptying unneeded files that the computer will no longer have to store and load. Users need to be aware of these 4 steps not only so they do not fall under the notion they need a new machine, but also having users not let files stack up and having your storage fill up slowing down your computer. I ever need computer advice or more information on computer maintenance, I will check back to your site.
