Get your Facebook Email Address






Now any Facebook user can get unique @facebook.com email address for sending and receiving messages. It will be your social inbox where focus will be on actual message and sender. There are no usual email elements like subject lines, cc and bcc as found in popular email service providers like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Live Hotmail. You can also strictly control who can send you message at your @facebook.com email address.



Steps:


Login to your facebook account and go to this link facebook.com/about/messages/ and click on the “Request an Invitation ” button .



After you have clicked you will see that the button will change to ” You will receive and invite soon “ . That’s all you are done you lucky will get the yourname@facebook.com email id .





Note that Your email address will match your public username, for example:
Profile: facebook.com/username
Email: username@facebook.com
If you don’t have a username you can visit facebook.com/username/ and get one .


You can check your status by visiting facebook.com/about/messages/

  2. The only concern that I have with this type of facebook service is the privacy issues that will undoubtly start cropping up. It seems like that everytime we have something that looks like an upgrade there are some really tricky privacy settings that get changed or added. Unless you keep on top of these things you will be sharing your messages with the world.

  4. That would be cool if there is facebook email; I think that is a brilliant idea since networking and business could merge. That could be a flexible business tactics. But what annoys me right now that is going on in facebook is the limitless tagging of spammers.

  5. I do worry about the privacy issues. It looks like all our information will be going through Facebook and we have to impart a lot of trust with them to make sure that they are not using or sharing our details in the wrong way.

  17. I think it's neat that Facebook is providing their own email host, but when I'm dealing with clients or work related issues, having my email address from Yahoo or Gmail seems more respectable. I guess it doesn't hurt to try this out.

  55. Facebook email is buzzing the internet , people are searching to know how they can get a @facebook.com email id . Currently facebook email id is not open to everyone . To get @facebook.com you have to request an invite and this is how you can do it .

  56. I just received my @facebook email address, but I dont recall I click on Request an Invitation, they just send me an invitation and they always said to refuse is an insult. hehehe…
